| The Elusive Hunter this website site dedicated
to those hunters wanting to enjoy their sport without the infringement
of others. At The Elusive Hunter, we are interested in our own
triumphs and successes in the woods and prefer not to pave the
way for those uninvited hunters who might find the opportunity
to follow our trails and hunt areas we’ve been spending
valuable time scouting. |
Trail Chasers are the newest repackaging of a widely used product by hunters for hunters
to mark trails and game zones. Even though we at The Elusive Hunter prefer to compass or
GPS our way to our favorite hunting areas, even we sometimes find it necessary to use some
type of trail marker. Once in the stand we defiantly prefer to use ground markers to pin distance
points.
Trail Chasers, unlike red flagging tape, will blend into most ground vegetation while still being
easy to spot if you know where to look. Trail Chasers are easy to deploy, move, and retrieve. |

If you're a Hunter, you know the value of scouting in advance of the season to find sign, locate active trails and perhaps even spot a game animal or two. If you also have to work for a living, you can probably spend only a couple weekends scouting seriously before the season starts.
Meanwhile, the game animals are going about their business every day, using new trails, hitting new food sources and perhaps changing movement patterns as summer transitions to fall. If you could be out there with them 24/7, you could monitor these changes before and during the season and make the most of the time you have to hunt.
Trail cameras let you do just that. A camera set up on a trail or food plot can be your surrogate "eyes in the woods," and it can do so much less obtrusively than if you were there yourself.
The Elusive Hunter through our parent company Wild West Traders is carrying both HCO Uway and Bushnell cameras. The Uway scouting cameras qualify as being near high end in performance and features but low end in price while Bushnell has produced trail cameras for a long time. Check out our information here and visit our linked reviews for additional product information specific to your interests. Then go to our online store to order.
